How to Connect Your Bitbuy Account to Passiv

Before following this tutorial:

You first need to enable API access in your Bitbuy account. Please email api@bitbuy.ca stating that you are requesting API access to connect to Passiv.

Navigate to the Connections & Portfolios in your Settings page, where you’ll find your Connections box. You can find and edit each connection here. The Connections Settings enable you to:

  • Choose the level of access for each of your accounts. If you’re an Elite user, you can enable trade access to take advantage of One-Click Trades. One-Click Trades allow you to place your trades directly from Passiv at the click of a button instead of having to login to your brokerage to place the recommended trades.
  • Add account connections. This feature allows you to be able to link multiple accounts seamlessly. For example, you may want to manage your spouse’s or childrens’ accounts as part of your portfolio and be able to track the performance of your entire family’s wealth. You can also connect accounts from multiple brokerages if you have investments with multiple brokerages we support.

To connect your Bitbuy account, click Add Another Connection.

Then click Connect Bitbuy.

You will now need to generate an API token from the Bitbuy's website.

Log in to your Bitbuy user portal, and click Profile on the top-right corner, and then in the resulting drop-down menu, click Settings.

Scroll down to the Partner API section, and under Generate a New API Key, click Generate.

Copy the keys and paste them into the authorization form in Passiv. Then click Done. Leave the "Read only permissions" box unchecked, otherwise you will not be able to connect to Passiv.

Your Passiv account will now be paired to Bitbuy. Congratulations!
